Eicher Motors Limited, the parent company for the motorcycle company Royal Enfield, manufactures motorcycles and commercial vehicles in India, containing a joint venture with Sweden’s AB Volvo vehicles, forming Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles. Initially, back in 1948, the company distributed and services imported tractors, called Goodearth Company.

Once joining with the German Eicher tractor company, the company has since been completely owned by Indian shareholders. Now, Eicher Motors has diversified its business into multiple structures, focusing on investing in the market of automobiles.

Since March 2019, the company has earned net revenue of $1.4 billion, listed on the BSE and National Stock Exchange. Since 2015, the company has been expanding its distribution centers to North America, establishing its first direct distribution subsidiary in North America, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Its subsidiary launched its first twin-cylinder motorcycle in the United States and has begun selling its motorcycles across Europe, India, and the Asia Pacific, offering the right balance between power and torque.
