Samsung India, a subsidiary of the parent company Samsung Electronics Company Limited, is a research and development center for the corporation in developing and releasing the latest hardware products to its Indian consumers. Currently employing over 1,600 people, the subsidiary customizes the Samsung products to cater to the Indian market and operates under Samsung’s key initiatives to become an industry leader in technology and revitalize the global economy.

Since 1969, Samsung began its production with TV, microwave ovens, VHS systems, and personal computers, until it began establishing itself within the global market for its mobile phones and televisions.

Since then, Samsung India has focused its sales throughout the Southwest Asia regions, launching ambitious programs that focus on local innovations and corporate sustainability. Samsung over time became one of India’s most trusted brands and globally expanded to the point of containing sales networks in over 80 countries.

Employing over 300,000 people worldwide, Samsung has become a founding figure in technology, manufacturing consumer electronics and semi-conductors for clients such as Apple, Sony, Nokia, and HTC. Benefiting from its Samsung Galaxy mobile phone devices, Samsung has become the world’s largest memory chip manufacturer and largest mobile phone manufacturer since 2011.
