PayPal Internship Program Overview

PayPal Holdings, Inc. is an American company operating online payments systems across the globe. The company was established in December 1998 by the name Confinity. Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, Luke Nosek, Ken Howery, Yu Pan and Russel Simmons are the founders of the company. 

The company is also listed on the 2019 Fortune 500 list of largest United States corporations by revenue, PayPal stands at the 204th position. Funded by John Malloy from BlueRun Ventures, PayPal was originally founded as the online money transfer system of Confinity.

PayPal is an electronic alternative to traditional paper money transfer methods. PayPal is available in more than 200 markets around the world. Users can withdraw funds in 56 currencies, receive money in around 100 currencies, and hold balances in their PayPal wallet in 25 currencies. TIO Networks, Paydiant, Venmo, card.io, iZettle Braintree, Tradera, PayPal Credit and Xoom Corporation are the subsidiaries of PayPal.

Eligibility
  • Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, IT or other relatable fields from a recognized institution can apply for the internship.

  • knowledge in Object-Oriented Design Principles, Data Structures, Algorithms, SQL/NoSQL, Operating Systems, and Software Engineering.

  • Knowledge of Java, C++ and/or Python, HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, etc
