The Indian Academy of Sciences Internship Overview

Founded by C.V. Raman, the Indian Academy of Sciences (IAS) was registered as a Society on 24 April 1934. The academy is situated in Bangalore and was founded with the purpose of helping the Indian Government with its research and findings. IAS offers several 2 month summer internships to students and teachers. During the internship program, participants will have the opportunity to work with many scientists of the IAS.

Eligibility

Student eligibility requires BE/BTech/BCA (II and III years only); BS/BSc/BVSc (II year only); BArch (II,III and IV years only); BPharm (III and IV years only); ME/MTech/MCA/MArch (I year only); MS/MSc/MVSc/MPharm (I year only); (5-year integrated) MS/MSc/MTech/MBBS (II, III, IV years only); (dual degree) BE + MSc (II, III, IV years only); MSc Tech (I, II years only); (dual degree) BTech + MTech (II/, III, IV years only); (dual degree) BS + MS (II, III, IV years only); Integrated PhD (I, II years only); or PharmD (III, IV years only) Teacher eligibility requires that teachers be currently teaching in an Indian institute or university; must have 65% or higher from 10th until Post-Graduation
